Charlie Weber, who stars as Frank Delfino in the ABC legal drama series How to Get Away with Murder, and his wife, Giselle, have filed for divorce.
The couple was married in a private ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on April 21, 2015. Entertainment Tonight reports that Weber said of his proposal to Giselle: “I actually bought the ring in Philadelphia when we were shooting the [How to Get Away with Murder] pilot. I went home and I think I texted her that I wanted to just cook her dinner, tried to be real sneaky about it. So I just made a nice dinner, we had a nice bottle of wine. I asked her to wait here for a second and went and got the ring and got on my knee and asked.”
According to TMZ, they separated on February 1st of this year. They cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and they do not have children together. Weber has a daughter from a prior relationship. Additionally, they have signed a prenuptial agreement which will govern how the couple will divide assets and the amount of alimony, if any.
Weber’s first appearance on the screen was in the 2000 film The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy. Later in 2000 he appeared in the recurring role of Ben on the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He also guest-starred on The Drew Carey Show, Veronica Mars, House, Charmed, Bones, Burn Notice, Warehouse 13 and CSI.
