One of the most common financial mistakes made in divorce is leaving funds vulnerable in a joint bank account. I often advise clients to make sure that they secure enough of the funds that are in the account to pay the next month’s bills so that they’re not left in a situation where all of the money is taken out of that account and they can’t pay their monthly bills.
