John Schneider, most commonly known for his starring role as Bo Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard television show, is getting divorced from Elly Castle. According to the Daily Mail, Castle cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce paperwork and she is requesting $31,000 a month in temporary spousal support.

Schneider and Castle were married for 21 years prior to their split in 2014 and they have three adult children (Leah, Chasen and Karis), so child custody is not an issue.

Schneider was previously married to Tawny Little, the former L.A. news anchor and Miss America, from 1983 to 1986

Castle is seeking temporary spousal support as a temporary measure while the issues in their divorce are being resolved. Castle was a stay at home mother while she was married to Schneider, so she claims she does not have the skills needed to be competitive in the modern workforce.

According to the court papers, the couple owns homes in California and Louisiana. They have lived an affluent lifestyle and Castle wants to maintain that same lifestyle. Castle alleges that Schneider can afford to pay the requested support since he earns at least $83,000 each month.

In addition to Dukes of Hazzard, Schneider also starred in popular television shows 90210, Smallville, Desperate Housewives, and Hot in Cleveland. He currently stars in Tyler Perry soap opera The Haves and the Have Nots.
