Gary Oldman and his fourth wife, Alexandra Edenborough, are getting divorced. Edenborough, a jazz and electronica singer, filed the papers in Los Angeles citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The couple has been married for six years.
The LA Times reports that the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” star and Edenborough separated more than a year ago. Oldman reportedly stated that “Alex and I had several great years together, and we shared a great love during that time; but there is big difference in our ages and ultimately that gap inevitably revealed different lifestyle interests. While I have been sad about this for over a year, I am grateful for the good times we did have, and we remain friends. Of course I wish Alex the best happiness in the future.”
Edenborough has requested that Oldman pay her spousal support and attorney’s fees. The divorce papers had yet to identify separate property and community property, but indicated that the filings would be amended once the assets were identified.
Oldman was previously married to Lesley Manville, whom he had one son with, for two year. He later married Uma Thurman, who he also split from after two years. Oldman had a relationship with Italian actress and model Isabella Rossellini, which ended in 1997. He married Donya Fiorentino, whom he had two sons with, and they divorced in 2001. Oldman was granted sole custody of the two boys.
