The divorce settlement was reached after a bitter separation in which Sonni alleged that Renner stole her passport, birth certificate and social security card.
Renner’s ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, will be paid $13,000 per month in child support for the couple’s two-year old daughter, Ava. Additionally, if Renner makes more than $2.3 million in a year, he must pay 5% of the extra earnings as additional child support.
The couple will share custody of Ava and Sonni will not receive any spousal support payments. Also, since they were only married 10 months, Renner was awarded the majority of his property, including his Tesla and Triumph motorcycle.
Renner has admitted that work has become less important to him since his daughter was born. He said: “[Fatherhood] really kind of changed my perspective on a lot of things. It’s kind of screwed my career in a lot of ways. Because I don’t really care about [my career] so much because I care about her so much. She’s like number one in my life. And now I get to do movies on the side. Daddy’s my best role to date, I think.”
