The Men’s Divorce Law Firm congratulates Katie Couric who married financier John Molner in East Hampton, New York on Saturday, June 21st! Stephanie Webber reports for Us Weekly.
“So excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner!” Couric tweeted shortly after saying “I do.”
The couple were feted by close family and friends for an intimate ceremony, which was held at their home. The blushing bride wore an ivory crystal beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace halter gown designed by Carmen Marc Valvo.
Couric’s daughter’s Ellie, 22, and Carrie, 17, were in attendance as well as Molner’s children Allie and Henry. The groom’s nieces and nephews were ring bearers and flower girls for the special occasion.
The veteran television journalist, 57, got engaged to financier Molner, 51, in September 2013 after nearly two years of dating, and shared a glimpse of her new engagement ring for the first time while attending the US Open that month in New York. In January, Couric revealed her summer wedding plans while celebrating Howard Stern’s 60th birthday party in NYC.
This is the second marriage for both Couric and Molner. Her first husband, Jay Monahan, died in 1998 of colon cancer; the pair had daughters Ellie and Carrie. Molner is divorced from his first wife, Jane.
Orlando family lawyer Jeffrey Feulner was privileged to meet Couric while she promoted her show “Katie” in 2012. Attorney Feulner, who is a men’s rights attorney, was happy to hear Couric say that single fathers should be praised for their efforts just as single mothers are.
