Kerry Washington, the Scandal star, has been facing reports that her marriage to Nnamdi Asomugha is over. The actress is intensely private, but she and her husband recently made a splash when they attended the Met Gala together. Afterward, the couple went to an after-party hosted by Rihanna.

A tabloid announced that Washington’s marriage was over after less than two years of marriage. The magazine went so far as to claim that an “insider” confirmed that Washington had conferred with a divorce lawyer, but she was waiting for a break in shooting her television show before going further.

The tabloid further made claims that the couple was always fighting and that their marriage has been over for some time. The report claimed that the couple agreed a divorce would be best for their daughter, Isabelle Amarachi.

Since the inaccurate report came out and Washington and Asomugha attended the Met Gala, tabloids are being told that the couple is doing fine. This is yet another example of how you can’t believe everything you read, especially in the tabloids.
