Khloe Kardashian Heads Back to Court to Divorce Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian will be keeping up with the Kardashians in a new manner now.

According to TMZ, the reality television star recently filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, a former NBA star who overdosed while being entertained in a Nevada brothel. This is the second time Kardashian has petitioned the court to dissolve the marriage with Odom.

Kardashian voluntarily dismissed the first case mere weeks prior to the divorce being finalized. She understood the former Los Angeles Laker needed time to recover from his addiction issues before dealing with the tumult of a divorce.

There was a claim that Khloe had discovered that Odom was drinking again, prompting her to abandon hope for his recovery. However, a recent posting from TMZ confirms that Kardashian wants to move on with the business of building a family. Odom understands that she can’t pursue that goal while married to him and has reportedly been amicable as they start the six-month process of getting divorced in California.

That friendliness seems to be spilling over to negotiations. The two had a pre-nuptial agreement and were able to come to terms regarding a separation of their assets during the first divorce proceedings. All indications point toward the process running smoothly for Khloe and Lamar.

Of course, every divorce won’t work out well. The animosity that has led to the end of the relationship can dominate over breakup, leaving the parties emotionally and mentally frustrated and exhausted. Even when proceedings run smoothly, there’s always the potential for contention when the separation becomes real.
