Lara Stone & David Walliams will Divorce

Although Lara Stone and David Walliams had initially decided to take a trial separation, it seems that the separation is now turning into a divorce. Lara, the 31-year-old Calvin Klein model, is expected to serve David, one of the judges on Britain’s Got Talent television show, with divorce papers in the next few weeks.

The couple has been married for five years. They began dating in September 2009, and got engaged in January 2010. They welcomed their first child, Alfred, in May 2013. It has been reported that they are both “devastated” that they could not salvage their marriage.

Lara, Alfred and their dog Bert have been living with some of her friends since leaving the couple’s London home. David has spent his time with his friends too, since the split. A source close to the 43-year-old comedian told The Sun newspaper: ‘David has been putting on a brave face. But people close to him are very worried because they know he’s devastated.’

Lara, who recently shot a recent ad campaign for Calvin Klein with Justin Bieber, reportedly declined advances by the pop star. Apparently, Justin asked Lara on a date, but she respectfully declined since she is still married. Fortunately, the photo shoot went forward without incident.

As for David, there have been rumors regarding the actor and comedian’s sexuality. David has claimed that although he typically portrays effeminate characters, it does not mean that he is gay. He has also revealed that he has battled depression and thoughts of committing suicide in the past.

Lara has had to fight her own demons. The model entered rehab to combat alcoholism in 2009. After obtaining her sobriety, the model was open about her dependency on alcohol in interviews. She said her drinking led her to a place where she no longer recognized herself.
