The Men’s Divorce Law Firm was proud to support The Center for Drug-Free Living’s Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Florida prevention program by attending the 19th Anniversary Midnight Basketball Awards Luncheon & Silent Auction.
The Center’s Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Florida prevention program provides youth with positive alternative late night activities on Friday and Saturday nights while educating them on important life lessons necessary to avoid future delinquent behavior.
The goals of the program are not only to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and local youth, but to improve self-esteem, and enhance interpersonal and developmental skills through the use of mentors. Operating in Orange, Osceola, Brevard, and Seminole counties, the Midnight Basketball Program has grown to serve thousands of children and their families in Central Florida.
The Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Florida program also offers seasonal tournaments, a boys and girls high school summer league, basketball camps sponsored by former NBA star Darrell Armstrong, a high school summer girls volleyball tournament, a Summer Pro-Am League tournament sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Assoication and the National Basketball Association, a Midnight Basketball Invitational sanction by the Florida High School Athletic Association and a college scholarship program.
