After seven years, and four children, long-term Hollywood couple Seal and Heidi Klum have decided to call it quits.

After previously announcing their plans for divorce it seemed there was hope for reconciliation.  But a recently ring-less Seal has put such rumors to rest.

“They had both been wearing their wedding rings and had mutually thought they might be able to work it out,” a source told People.

“But it doesn’t look like it’s going that way.”

Just last week, the “Kiss From a Rose” singer, 48, was seen striding through an airport in Australia sporting bright neon-yellow nail polish and a noticeably bare ring finger.

Meanwhile, Klum, 38, spent Valentine’s Day alone last week, holing up in Soho House on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles sans her famous husband, according to TMZ.

“They have had very little contact and Heidi wants to keep it this way,” a source told People. “She feels less stressed out now and feels it’s best to be away from Seal, so she doesn’t get confused about her feelings.”

The superstar couple were married for seven years and have four children together – Leni, 7 1/2, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

Following their announced split in January, Seal had initially claimed that a divorce didn’t mean that the two didn’t still love each other.

“Just because we have decided to separate doesn’t necessarily mean you take off your ring and you’re no longer connected to that person,” he said in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres at the time.

“It’s a token of how I feel about this woman,” he’d said about his wedding ring. “It feels really comfortable on my hand.”
